How to retrieve the QR code associated to customer on the web
How to select a customer with a QR code on the mobile
Until now the customer display on the mobile app followed 2 logic on the list:
By distance if the GPS of the mobile user is switched on, the user will view the customers that are closest to him/her,
By alphabetical order (if no GPS). It is also possible to view the customers around you on a map.
We have introduced a new way of selecting a customer in the case when mobile users have many customers close to each other with similar names, which can cause a risk of erroneous selection and duplicates: This has been achieved through QR codes.
A unique QR code is created for any customer in the list.
It can be extracted for an individual customer by clicking on the QR icon on top of the item expanded view
It will display a page with the QR code for this customer
The other option is to download in bulk for all customers.
Click on the list options "Download QR codes"
It will generate a mail with a link generating a pdf file with the QR codes for all customers.
On the mobile app, the user needs to click on the QR code icon on the top right and scan the QR code. The customer will be automatically selected in the list and a workflow can be started. If the mobile user does not have access to this customer, an error message will display.
The code must then be printed and displayed at the customer location.
